What makes Beehive different?

A sustainable model of care that ensures everyone is supported.

Sarah Kearns built Beehive Collective to offer care that’s  deeply human. With over a decade of experience supporting families and attending over 150 births, she  believes that empowerment starts with real talk, not sugarcoating. Her approach blends body-based wisdom from yoga with trauma-informed care and a deep respect for every family’s unique story. She’s here for the joyful moments and the hard ones, helping both birthing people and their partners feel prepared, connected, and supported.

For newer doulas, Sarah offers what she wished she’d had: mentorship rooted in practical tools, emotional insight, and sustainable boundaries. She believes doulas deserve care too, and that no one should have to choose between showing up for others and protecting their own wellbeing.  Sarah’s leadership is about holding space without taking over, and guiding without ego.

Birth isn’t just about the baby, it’s about you and your entire family. Your body, your emotions, your partner, your choices, your voice. Beehive Collective was created to hold all of that with care, clarity, and real support from real people who know birth isn’t always easy, but believe it can be powerful. Beehive Collective offers birth and postpartum care that’s both honest and heart-centered. Sarah’s approach is grounded in authenticity-showing up as she is, holding space for you to do the same, and telling the truth about what birth and early parenthood really feel like. The good parts, the hard parts, and everything in between.

We believe your village can be your superpower.

Our care is trauma-informed and compassion-first. That means we listen before we offer advice, and we honor your lived experience without judgment. Whether your last birth was complicated or this is your first time navigating it all, we meet you where you are, not where someone else thinks you should be.

What sets Beehive apart isn’t just our experience, it’s our values. We believe in empowering you with information, not overwhelming you with opinions.

We help you and your partner understand what’s ahead so you can advocate for yourselves with confidence. We support partners, not just birthing people, because birth is a team effort and no one should feel like a bystander in the process. We’re also a collective, not a solo act. That means we support our doulas just as much as we support our clients. With mentorship, backup systems, and a model designed to keep everyone in the hive well cared for. Because sustainable support starts with the support person.
